Chili Cookoff

Join Us for a Spicy Showdown!

At Loveland Vineyard, we often say, “Food is our love language.” And what better way to share that love than with a friendly chili cookoff? Whether you’re bringing your best homemade recipe or just coming to enjoy great food and vote for your favorite, we hope this event helps you find a place to belong, just as Jesus welcomed others around the table.

How It Works

  • Want to Compete? Anyone who considers Loveland Vineyard their home (attendees, volunteers, small group members) is welcome to enter. Sign up online or on the paper sheet at church by March 11th (text the church 970-667-8668 about late registration). Registration is totally free.
  • Rules: Chili must be homemade, no store-bought entries! Chili accompaniments are welcome (cheese, onions, etc.).
  • Voting: The audience will taste and vote for their favorite chili. Simply write your choice on a slip of paper, and we’ll tally the votes.
  • Prizes: Small prizes for the top three, with a special award for first place!
  • Allergens: It is helpful if you can make a note (on your phone or on paper) and bring it with you day of, that lists any potential allergens your chili may contain. We aren’t asking you to give up your super secret family recipe, but you must inform us if your chili contains any of the eight major allergens: milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts, and soybeans.

Not Entering the Cookoff? No Problem!

  • Eat & Vote: Everyone is welcome to enjoy the chili and help pick the winner.
  • Bring a Side: If you can, please bring a side dish to share.
  • Connection & Fun: Sharing a meal and sharing stories go hand in hand, and both are at the heart of our community.
