Tension and Rhythm

Tension. Just the word itself evokes the physical reaction of our muscles tensing. We avoid tense situations and try not to be too uptight. It would be nice to live by some simple principles that would allow us to live tension-free lives. But Jesus tends to challenge an oversimplified view of the world. He announces the arrival of his Kingdom on Earth but then enters on a donkey and dies on a cross. He teaches the disciples not to be “of the world” but says he does not ask for them to be taken “out” of it. He commands us to be perfect, like our heavenly father, and then turns around and says no one is good but God. Following Jesus seems to involve a lot of paradox, but if we are able to hold his teachings in tension, we can find a new path, what we call in the Vineyard, “the radical middle”.

Loveland Vineyard-One Day to Feed The World

Your one day transforms their every day.

One Day to Feed the World is Convoy of Hope’s campaign that transforms lives. When everyone commits to giving one day’s salary, we harness the power of equal sacrifice instead of focusing on equal giving. When you give through Convoy of Hope, poverty and hunger are replaced by hope and love.

We are taking our One Day to Feed the World Offering on Oct. 26th.

Soup Lunch

We’re excited to invite you to our Community Lunch on Sunday, October 19th, right after service. We’re serving Soups as our provided main dish, great for warming up on a chilly day!

Feel free to bring a side dish to share if you’d like. Some tasty ideas include salads, bread, charcuterie cheeses and meats, or even a sweet dessert. The real joy is in gathering together, sharing food, and catching up on life.

Our potluck is all about filling our cups so we have plenty to pour out to others. Plus, it’s a fun and wallet-friendly way to enjoy a meal together outside of dining out every week.

Living Room Worship

Join us on Friday, October 3rd in our living room at 7PM as we simply come before our God with the desperate longing for more of Him. For address details, text (970) 667-8668 to learn more.

Vineyard worship started in a living room with burned out bible teachers that had a simple goal, let’s just get together and worship. They came with a desperation to encounter God’s presence; the humility to say, “what I have isn’t working, it’s not enough- I need you.” Hunger is soil that intimate worship grows out of. We want to press into this legacy of intimate worship and hunger.

But How?

New Sermon Series

“Just follow Jesus and love one another.” It sounds so simple, so obvious. But life tends to be more complicated. Lots of sermons convey the beautiful truth that God wants a relationship with us and the power of Jesus’s incarnation, death, and resurrection to transform our lives. It’s a compelling message, yet it leaves many of us asking the question: “but how?” How can we practically respond to Jesus’s invitation to follow him, grow to become like him, and do the things that he does? How can we live free in his grace while we allow the Spirit to transform us?

Fortunately, for thousands of years, Christians around the world have found God in various common practices giving us a heritage of wisdom and examples to draw from. These practices are not a set of rules to follow or the secret to pleasing God. They don’t win us brownie points or gold stars. They are simply ways that we can respond to Jesus’s invitation to us. It is not necessary to do every practice all of the time, but if we allow it, Jesus will lead us to the things that will bring us closer to him in the season we are in.

Mark Comer writes in “Practicing the Way” that following Jesus involves three steps: being with Jesus, becoming like him, and doing what he does. There are many ways to be with Jesus: rest, solitude, prayer. Each one helps us to get out of our own way and hear from him. Other practices help us to become like Jesus such as discernment, community, fasting, and scripture. Each one can be challenging and can be done in many ways. We can also practice doing the things Jesus did in ways like service, generosity, and hospitality. In each practice, the accountability and support of community makes a huge difference in our ability to follow through and figure out how to do each practice in a way that works for us.

Join us as we learn about and experiment with ways to experience more of God’s presence.

Food Pantry Training

Our pantry is growing, and so is our team. To set everyone up for success, this session will cover general pantry guidelines, specific positions/roles and their particular tasks, and hands-on training to ensure we are equipped to help feed and love Loveland.

When we serve at the Food Pantry, we’re offering dignity, hope, and love along with delicious food for every family that comes through our doors. Together, we care for physical needs while gently opening the door for people to encounter the Holy Spirit.

If you’re ready to lean into this shared purpose, come to our Food Pantry Training on Tuesday, September 30th at 10:30AM. This is a great chance to be part of something deeply meaningful and live out our value for loving and serving others.

Legacy Suppers

Legacy Suppers

Breaking bread. Purposeful planning. Easing endings.

We can’t plan for everything, but we can share what matters most with the people who matter most. Legacy Suppers is a monthly gathering where we share a meal and have meaningful conversations about preparing for the end of life with wisdom, faith, and love.

Through thoughtful discussions, practical resources, and expert-led presentations, we will explore essential topics such as: Health Care Wishes, Financial Planning, Estate Preparations, Burial, Service Arrangements, and More.

Too often, we’ve seen the stress and pain that comes when these conversations are left unspoken. But we’ve also witnessed the deep peace and blessing that thoughtful planning can bring. Taking time now to prepare is one of the most loving gifts we can offer our families.

Legacy Suppers is open to anyone 18 and older—because none of us know what life will bring, and it is never too soon to begin this important work.

Let us know if you are coming!

We want to make sure we have enough food and something available for any dietary needs. Please RSVP below to save your spot and receive address information:

Join Us at the Table

Blue Christmas

Join us tonight at 6:00PM for our Blue Christmas service.

Held on the longest night of the year, we want hold space anyone that may not be feeling “merry” this Christmas—whether you are grieving, facing illness, or struggling through loss or trauma, there is a place for you here. We want to create the space and time to acknowledge our sadness and concern and to know that we are not alone.

During this service, we can encounter God in this Christmas season, while still being able to show up as our fully authentic selves. We will have prayer, scripture, and music that acknowledges that God’s presence is for those who mourn and struggle, and that God’s Word comes to shine light in our darkness.

Refreshments are available after the service.
